I'm dazzled already! Have a wonderful trip. I look forward to hearing about your adventures.

P.S. -CA's interstate isn't all bad... there's just a very congested, pot-holed short stretch going east to Sacramento. Good luck with that!

Hope you have a wonderful trip, altho heading for the Gulf coast is a very frightening prospect right now.

I hope you have a fantastic time-just take the trip as it is. You have the most fun that way.

That's a huge trip! I'm very envious, you're touching on some of the places I'd most love to see. Nothing in the middle to grab your interest? Bon Voyage and drive safely.

Yay! Buen viaje, AM - and do check at my blog for rv parks along the way. I try to make note of good ones (and bad ones) as we go along. Oh, and speaking of my blog, or rather, of my RV, you haven't named your RV Two Turtles, have you?

a seriously long trip. Best wishes here!

Sandra - where do I look for list of good and bad parks? VERY limited time here.

RV not named Two Turtles. It's named "Harvey the RV" ;o)

It is an adventure. Just watch out for the winds.

Do you have an AAA membership, AM? If so, you can stop in at any AAA office and pick up some of their books -- they have Tourbooks, which show you the points of interest, and (iirc) Campbooks -- or something like that -- that list the associated campgrounds and give them ratings. Also, as you enter each state, stop at the tourist information bureau and pick up their camping guides. Between the two sources, you can get a pretty good handle on what's available in each area.

I forgot something important -- chat up the neighbours. Take a walk around the park, talk to the other campers. Some will already have been where you are going, and will be able to recommend parks or warn against them...

Gee. When you travel along I-10 and you get to Crestview, FL, you'll only be 40 minutes from Sandy and I. Feel free to stop by!

Skip - I used to live in Crestview, Fla. Really. :)
