Theme Thursday: Draft

My creative juices have all dried up, it seems. Or... they are afraid to slosh themselves for fear I will put them to work helping plan a big trip I have coming up soon which is keeping me busy as a cat covering up guavas on a tin roof.

So, in lieu of my own creativity, I searched the 'net for some ideas I had about this Thursday's topic and came up with this first one for all of you out there who like a nice tall one:

Cheers to ya! All of ya!

Then I found this next one which triggered my "isn't that the truth!" synapses:

Would I ever love to see this law put into place. Peace at last! Peace at last! When do we vote on this one? I gots muh crayon ready to mark my X in the Peace Box.

Finally, I came upon this:

And, after I stopped rolling on the floor laughing and hearing echoes of my mother proclaiming, "Look! He's taking our picture!", I grabbed it for this post. I do think he must be feeling quite a draft, don't you? Poor guy. Hospitals are such un-dignified places.

Happy TT (a bit early) Everyone!

(I did not make this stuff up)

Great,AngelMay! I came up blank on this week's TT theme, but you really hit the nail on the head, especially with that fabulous cartoon. Well, the draft beer and gaping hospital gown were pretty good also. Thanks for the laugh. Well done!

Cheat! Way early. Don't you spell a cool breeze on the bottom as a 'draught' not a 'draft'? You 'mericans speak funny.

Baino: WE speak funny!?? Har har! Stop making me laugh so early in the morning. ;o)

Janice: Thanks!

Brian: You wearing a hospital gown? Heh. Turn around so I can get a better look! ;o)

Ha! I love your draft photos...I don't know why I didn't think of the beer one. My TT doesn't publish until 12:05am PDT...I'm fussy like that...

VE: I'm in the process of planning a cross-country trip - and I'm just too busy to wait till Thursday. But it sounds like there is some automatic timer I could set... is that right? I shall look into that. (New to this blogging thing...)

I have been having a creative drought myself, but such is life!

The hospital guy looks like Tony Soprano! LMAO!

I liked each and every one of these, and I don't mind if you use draft or draught.

Good post which brought a smile.

Very good. I find a tall one helps lubricate my creative juices. After all don't they call inspiration the "thirsty" muse?

I like the way you illustrated with pictures. I was really struck by the number of definitions this word has, which is what my TT is all about. But I ended up cutting and pasting from dictionary.com for obvious reasons and when that was done, no time to illustrate at all. Yours is cute.

btw, Michael Moore makes that point about the children of the war makers in one of his movies, possibly "Fahrenheit 9/11" (unsure)
He interviews unwilling U.S. representatives on the steps of the Capitol, asking them if their son or daughter will be taking up service. They mostly refuse to answer.

Funny. The pics you selected were great, showing different sides of "Draft"... As for the beer, now, that is a tall one! And the military guy with the shoulder pads just fits the image I have in my head regarding military guys. And as for the poor guy in hte hospital...aw... :)
Well done! Nice TT. Love/ Jo.

Heh, heh! Beer was the first thing that came to minf for me, too, when I saw that this week's theme was "draft". And I love the cartoon. Good choices.

That beer draft was one I forgot. Happy TT

Ha ha, gave me reason to giggle and think (once again) that a cold pint would be so lovely right now!

I love the cartoon, as you might guess. But the hospital guy brought back a traumatic teenage memory: seeing a (male) classmate walking away down the hall in much the same "drafty" outfit as your hospital guy (we happened to to be admitted to the same floor of the hospital). Never a good thing when one is 14. Fortunately he did not see me in my similar garb.

Numbers one and two are my kind of draft. As for number 3 : been there, probably done that, definitely didn't have the t-shirt.
